Commitment to achieving Net Zero

Server Factory Ltd is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2030

Baseline Emissions Footprint

Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the past and were produced prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions. Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.

Baseline Year: 2021

Additional Details relating to the Baseline Emissions calculations.

Server Factory went through major growth in 2021 and this is the reason for the year of 2021 being used as our emissions baseline. Scope 1 emissions are so low that its showing as 0.00 tCO2e.

Emissions reduction targets

In order to continue our progress to achieving Net Zero, we have adopted the following carbon reduction targets. We project that carbon emissions will decrease over the next five years to 0.0132 tCO2e by 2027. This is a reduction of 0.0267

Progress against these targets can be seen in the graph below:

Carbon Reduction Projects

Completed Carbon Reduction Initiatives

The following environmental management measures and projects have been completed or implemented since the 2021 baseline. The carbon emission reduction achieved by these schemes equate to 0.0080 tCO2e, a 20.05%ge reduction against the 2021 baseline and the measures will be in effect when performing the contract.

Server Factory has already implemented several measures to reduce our carbon footprint, including:

The company moved into new premises in 2022 and invested in a more energy efficient heating and cooling system requiring 0 Gas usage.

To continue office relocation made commuting for most staff shorter distance and easier travel with some staff taking public transport instead of personal vehicles. Reducing our commuting emissions.

Allowing our team members who are capable of working from home to do so, which has reduced commuting and the energy consumption associated with operating our office.

Encouraging our employees to use electric vehicles and providing a charging station at our office, which has reduced our reliance on fossil fuels and demonstrated our commitment to sustainability.

Ensuring that all of our outbound shipments have their emissions offset, which has helped to fund renewable energy projects and reduced the environmental impact of our operations.

By implementing these measures, our company is actively contributing to a more sustainable future and reducing our carbon footprint.

As a provider of high-performance computing solutions and a specialist in Supermicro hardware, our company is committed to promoting eco-friendly practices and reducing our environmental impact. In addition to the measures we have already implemented, we also:

Encourage our customers to adopt greener solutions and promote the use of energy-efficient hardware, such as Supermicro's energy-efficient servers.

Work with our customers to optimize their hardware configurations and system designs, which can help to reduce energy consumption and minimize their carbon footprint.

Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in energy-efficient technology and offer our customers the most efficient solutions available, to ensure that they are minimizing their environmental impact as much as possible.

In addition to the measures we have already implemented and our plans to further reduce our carbon footprint, our company is committed to taking additional steps towards sustainability.

One of these steps is investing in 100% renewable energy for our premises. We are actively working towards sourcing all of our energy from renewable sources, such as solar or wind power, to minimize our reliance on non-renewable energy sources.

Another area we are focused on is our supply chain. We are working with our suppliers to ensure that they are also committed to sustainability and reducing their carbon footprint.

This includes sourcing materials and components from sustainable sources and working with suppliers who are committed to minimizing their environmental impact.

By investing in renewable energy and working with our supply chain partners to promote sustainability, our company is committed to making a positive impact on the environment and contributing to a more sustainable future.
